Call for Volunteers: Medical Student Outreach Service

We are looking for AA members willing to serve as Medical Student Outreach Speakers and Observers to help carry the AA message to future medical professionals.

Speakers share their personal experience of alcoholism and recovery in Alcoholics Anonymous. This service focuses on presenting AA clearly and responsibly. Speakers represent AA to the outside community by sharing what it was like, what happened, and what it is like now. Presentations stay within AA experience and do not include discussion of outside fellowships, other addictions, or treatment approaches unrelated to AA.

We are also inviting members to serve as Observers. Observers attend outreach presentations to learn, support continuity of service, and prepare for future speaking roles.

This is an opportunity to participate in public information service and help ensure that accurate information about Alcoholics Anonymous is available to those entering the medical profession.
