Welcome Newcomer!
If you’re new to Alcoholics Anonymous, we’re glad you’re here. You may be feeling uncertain, overwhelmed, or simply curious — and that’s completely okay. Many of us felt the same way when we first walked through the doors of AA.
This section is here to help you learn what AA is, how it works. Whether you’re exploring the idea of sobriety, wondering if your drinking might be a problem, or looking for support for a loved one — you are not alone.
AA is a fellowship of people who share their experience, strength, and hope to help each other recover from alcoholism. There are no fees or obligations. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking.
Take your time. Explore. Ask questions. And most importantly — keep coming back.
Looking for help with a drinking problem?
Take a moment to reflect. If you’re unsure whether alcohol is affecting your life, consider taking a simple self-assessment. The first step toward change is understanding where you stand.
Trying to help a family member or friend?
Supporting a loved one struggling with alcohol can be challenging, but AA offers a proven solution. With over two million success stories, AA provides a path to recovery through shared experiences and mutual support. For more than 80 years, AA’s program has been built on one simple foundation: one alcoholic helping another.
If someone you care about is struggling with their drinking, AA can help them find a way forward. Recovery is possible, and your support can make a difference.
We share our ...
... and supporting each other every step of the way.
